Homeschooling your kid
It’s fact.
The public education system here in the US sucks.
Sure there are areas where schools are actually good, and you can expect house prices in those areas to be quite expensive.
With several public schools caring more about stats than actually education, it’s no wonder this mom wants to home school her kid and his friends.
And that’s not including several school districts trying to teach Intelligent Design as part of the curriculum.
It’s not like we have a lot of options. Houses in good school districts are expensive.
Private schools are another joke. To send your kid to the good ones, you’ll better have more than one kid, because you’ll need to sell one of them to send the other ones to a good private school. The other ones just suck. They don’t even have licensed teachers. Since they’re private, they can do whatever they want, including hiring the owner’s 3 nephews to teach there.
My kids are still quite young and I still have a few years before I worry about this.
But I’m sure I won’t be able to buy a house in a good school district, so I’ll have to try to tutor them on the weekends as best as I can.
