I don’t believe that believers really believe
Great article by Jamie Whyte.
And I completely agree with him.
If you pay attention, you’ll notice that a lot (probably most) of theists are hypocrites.
Supermarket theists. They only reference the parts of the bible that they like, generally ignoring the parts they don’t like. Or simply creating an alternate interpretation of their magic book that would allow them to live the way they want.
Take it for example the use of contraception. You’ll find believers that will give you “divine quotes” that using contraceptives is wrong and you’ll find believers that will give you different “divine quotes” stating otherwise.
They’re all from the same religion, reading the same magic book, but with different beliefs. They simply interpret things the way that is more suitable for them.

You will probably find you’re in the wrong country (again).
God save the queen. God save the Royal Society. They were probably a bit too radical in this matter, but they leave no space for doubts. Creationism is definitely NOT ACCEPTED in our society. At least as science.
