Another victory for the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster.

Members of the Polk County School Board recently tried to introduce Intelligent Design as part of the curriculum. Members of the board opposed evolution as part of the new standards that are being adopted in Florida. They argued that if Evolution were to be taught as a standard, so should Intelligent Design.

Victory aside, how fucked up is that more than 50% of that School Board opposed Evolution as part of the program? This why the education system here is so poor. It’s because we put those fuck heads in charge of our schools.

Americans live in a bubble.

Like every one else in this world, they have their worries.

They worry about how are they going to afford a 850k house or how are they going to afford sending their kids to a private university.

They worry about how to make sure their portfolio doesn’t go down the drain in a possible recession.

They worry about stupid neighbors dinging their new car’s doors.

And that’s true, because those are some of my worries.

We need to start putting things in perspective.

The next president will be a Democrat. I still have hope that Gore will put his name in the ballot in the last minute.

I’ve never been a big fan of Huckabee, but my opinions about him keeps getting stronger by the day.
Every article I read about him, makes him more of a fucking moron than I had previously imagined.

I don’t think the issue’s about being against gay marriage. It’s about being for traditional marriage and articulating the reason that’s important. You have to have a basic family structure. There’s never been a civilization that has rewritten what marriage and family means and survived. So there is a sense in which, you know, it’s one thing to say if people want to live a different way, that’s their business. But when you want to redefine what family means or what marriage means, then that’s an issue that should require some serious and significant debate in the public square. And if you look at states that have had it on the ballot—I know in our state it was a 70-percent-against issue. Most states are similar to that.

So he’s saying that if we allow gay marriages, our civilization will be doomed.

I say we create a new TV show.
Put Huckabee and that hen from the View in let them debate about things. Then viewers can call in or use the ineternet to vote who was the dumbest.

Religion does help the downtrodden, gives support and a shoulder to those in need. I do see why some people need it, but in the majority of cases, Religion is a dangerous mind disease.

It’s such a huge topic and I won’t get into it in details for now. If you’re interested, read Richard Dawkin’s book, “The God Delusion”. It has a chapter explaining the dangers of religion.
