Tina Fey on Palin - again

Tina Fey continues with her accurate impression of Palin.

The sad thing? The impression is TOO accurate.

Again on Palin

I just wanna say again that I don’t hate Republicans.

I do think most of them are idiots. The ones that are Fiscal Republicans only care about their money and not society or the poor.

The ones that are Moral Republicans are just a bunch of conservatives that want to impose their conservative ways on every one else. (Fuck off and let people make their own choices.)

But I don’t hate McCain. I actually wouldn’t mind if he were president. But Palin is on the ticket, and I can’t stand her. If that wasn’t enough, McCain is like 150 years old. Most presidents need two terms to make a difference (either for good or for bad). One term isn’t enough. There’s a good chance McCain won’t be alive (or mentally sane) for 2 terms. I’m not putting those chances at 99%, but even a 30% chance that Palin might lead the US fucking scare the shitballs out of me.

Matt Damon, one of the protagonists of the famous Sara Silverman video (I’m fucking Matt Damon) echoes my thoughts:

If you’re curious about the previously Sara Silverman Video with Matt Damon:

More on Palin

Politics… Lies…

Left wing propaganda, Right wing propaganda… It’s hard to see the truth through all the lies.

One site devotes themselves to fact checking, always giving quotes and where they got quotes from.

FactCheck.org

I don’t have anything against McCain. I won’t vote for him, but don’t hate him.

Palin on the other hand, is just a joke. She’s simply a pair of melons with a third melon as a head.

But again, let’s not fall for all the lies and propaganda about her.

I don’t believe that believers really believe

Great article by Jamie Whyte.

And I completely agree with him.

If you pay attention, you’ll notice that a lot (probably most) of theists are hypocrites.

Supermarket theists. They only reference the parts of the bible that they like, generally ignoring the parts they don’t like. Or simply creating an alternate interpretation of their magic book that would allow them to live the way they want.

Take it for example the use of contraception. You’ll find believers that will give you “divine quotes” that using contraceptives is wrong and you’ll find believers that will give you different “divine quotes” stating otherwise.

They’re all from the same religion, reading the same magic book, but with different beliefs. They simply interpret things the way that is more suitable for them.

Palin on banning books

This news came out on Palin trying to ban books in her hometown.

While I don’t have anything against McCain, I just cannot stand the idea of Palin leading this country.

The constitution guarantees us a religion free state, and she will not be able to provide or even enforce it.

Lies and Politics

There’s no way around it.

Lies are necessary in Politics as food is necessary for our survival.

But some politicians lie way more than others.

Birthday Party

In two weeks we’ll be celebrating my boys’ birthday. Parties nowadays cost a lot of money.

First you need a theme, then a location, then food, entertainment and party favors. It’s not like old times, when all that was needed for a good party was a cake, candles and hats.

Anyways, unlike previous years, this time I’ve decided to be like my nice christian co-worker and go all out. It’s my kid’s party, and to show the love I have for them, I can’t think about money:

We picked a cool theme for their birthday: Blue. Everything will be in different blue tones.
The party will be at a cool location that kids love with plenty of option for entertainment: the public park.
But we wanted to splurge and give the kids plenty of entertainment, so we’ll also bring our sofa cushions so the kids can jump on them.
We thought about hiring catering for the food, but thought we would save the money on the service and spend it on the food: so we’ll have plenty of water bottles and peanut and butter sandwiches to go around.
And as party favors, we’ll be giving old Forbes magazines so the kids can learn how to read and maybe learn about the economy a little bit. Unfortunately, we’ll only be able to give it to 6 kids, since I threw the older magazines out.

As you can see, this should be an awesome party!
